The expansion of the Bartle Hall Convention Center in Kansas City by HNTB.  Original 300,000 square foot exhibition hall designed by Helmut Jahn with Ted Seligson.  New Bartle expansion designed by Cary Goodman with Robert Setterburg and Mike Scott.  I served as Partner-In-Charge of the Construction Phase led by Brian Firkins and Mike Fountain.  The column free expansion is built over Interstate Highway I-70.  The roof supported on steel tension cables from four 200' pylons.  The tops of the pylons were designed by Ronnie Fisher of New York as part of a 1% for Arts program.  Described as "artifacts from the future" by the artist the sculpted caps have been accepted by the public as a key symbol of Kansas City.
